A slow, meditative practice with low to the ground postures held for 2 – 5 minutes each.
Holding postures for longer periods of time with the support of props allows for nervous system regulation and activation of the parasympathetic state while simultaneously stretching and lengthening muscles and fascia.
Yin may also include breathwork practices and guided meditations.
